Peter Haas

Peter (Pete) Haas graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in 1995 with a B.A. in Communication Arts specializing in theater and photojournalism. He was granted the Winderl Award for excellence in creativity as well as elected by the college faculty into "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities 1995". Since then, Pete has melded his college experiences with a 25 year career in fintech to develop a collaborative leadership style that lends well to the Philadelphia Gay Men's Chorus.

Pete has a passion for diving deep with his partners to understand where they are, where they want to be, and helping them achieve their goals. As a dedicated and results-driven professional, he has a proven aptitude in strategic planning, governance, emotional intelligence, communications, and presentations. All of this enables him to maintain a strong obsession to deliver on the mission of the organization for which he is passionate.

Pete has served on the PGMC board of directors since 2023 leading the governance and technology committees as well as serving on the executive committee as Secretary. As a vice president at JPMorgan Chase, Pete also serves on the firm-wide Gender Expansive Council leadership team as the chair of the Intersex committee which works to identify the needs of the community within the firm, builds appropriate programming, and serves as the subject matter expert for the council. Previous leadership experience includes positions in the JPMC PRIDE organization as chair of the Mid-Atlantic region as well as intersectionality committee lead at the US level.

Pete lives in South Philadelphia with his husband and three cats and enjoys TTRPGs and travel when not singing or dancing!
