Luis Marrero-Miranda

Luis is Puerto Rican born and Philadelphia raised, with a strong appreciation for his cultural roots thanks to his parents’ influence. A proud Philadelphian, Luis is a 2014 graduate of Temple University, with a BA in Biological Sciences, and Minors in Business and Public Health. He is a Contracting Officer for the Department of Defense’s Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), specializing in Acquisition and Logistics Contracting for a variety of supplies. Luis started his career with the Federal Government in senior year of high school (Fels High School, 2007) through a community outreach program (Student Temporary Employment Program). Since that time, through hard work and discipline, Luis has elevated himself in the agency as a colleague among his prior mentors.

Luis has been a member of PGMC since December 2021, showing a natural affinity for volunteering his time, various talents, and work ethic. He first volunteered to manage all the chorus social media, bringing focus to the “chosen family” bonding that goes largely unseen. Shortly after taking this role, he was nominated for board membership. Luis has been a member of the Board of Directors as Marketing Director since July 2023, overseeing the Public Relations strategy, the Social Media calendar, the website design and management, and last but not least, all concert and event promotions. At the core of his vision, Luis always means to capture the “Chosen Family” bond within PGMC, and raise support for this life changing and saving organization.

Luis’ enjoys spending time with his beautiful cats, Apollo and Binx, rewatching his favorite shows namely “Charmed” which his personal tiktok account prominently features, and making time for friends and family, and traveling whenever possible. Luis has also begun his journey as an entrepreneur, offering his Social Media Management and Design talents.
