Rob D'Errico
Membership Chair
Robert graduated from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Music Education. Following that, he had a twelve-year long public school teaching career in various schools across southern New Jersey, teaching classroom music and music technology, and directing various instrumental and choral ensembles in grades three through twelve.
In 2015, he made a major career shift to software engineering, facilitated through self learning, networking, and an internship which eventually rolled into his first full-time role in the industry. He is currently a Director of Software Engineering at Best Egg, a Delaware-based FinTech company. At Best Egg, he is involved with several diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and is a founding member and co-lead of BE Prideful, Best Egg’s LGBTQ+ employee resource group.
He has been singing in the bass section of the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus after joining in March of 2023. He is involved with both the Membership and Marketing committees, and has been co-leading the Membership committee since November of 2024. He loves the community his Chosen Family of PGMC provides, and describes joining PGMC as a transformative experience. It has helped him live and express his true self, and his is excited to ensure the future success of the organization, joining the Board of Directors in February 2025.
Robert resides in Marlton, NJ, with his partner and fellow PGMC chorister Bert Dizon, his two teenage children, and his lab/boxer mix, Lucy.
In his spare time, he loves to play with anything involving music, technology, or the intersection of the two. He is the creator and maintainer of The Rhythm Randomizer, a web-based rhythm practice website used in music classrooms around the world.
